Petkeljärvi National Park is a nature reserve intended as a public attraction, whose mission is to preserve the North Karelian ridge and lake nature. It is important that you familiarize yourself with the area in advance and prepare carefully for the trip. Hiking in Petkeljärvi National Park is governed by a code of conduct. The hiking center and campsite are located in Ilomantsi, Petraniemi, in the middle of Petkeljärvi National Park. There is a Caravan and Camping area at the camping center and accommodation rooms in the main building.

  The hiking center and camping ground are open from mid-May to the end of September, weather permitting. See detailed opening hours under services.
